Monitor real-time data engine parameters

What you can monitor:

  • Intake pressure (turbo boost): Monitor turbocharger performance to gauge how your engine responds under various load conditions.
  • DPF soot and ash levels: Monitor the accumulation of soot and ash to determine the optimal times for DPF regen, helping prevent DPF derates.
  • DEF fluid level: Keep track of Diesel Exhaust Fluid levels.
  • EGR valve position: Track the position of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve.
  • Exhaust and DPF temperatures: Observe temperatures to manage the DPF Regen process effectively.
  • SCR temperatures: Keep an eye on Selective Catalytic Reduction temperatures to ensure NOx reduction.
  • Engine mileage & hours: Track engine hours and other vital diagnostics.
  • + more: We go even beyond this list. Our goal is to supply you with data to help you monitor your vehicle in real time.

Reset fault codes

Resetting fault codes: The reset of fault codes covers both active and Inactive codes.

  • Active codes: These are alerts for current issues that need immediate attention.
  • Inactive codes: These are records of past problems. They’re helpful for spotting patterns or issues that might come back again.
  • Reset all modules: We perform the reset on all the available modules that we are connected to, including transmission, body, cab & chassis systems.

Importance of resetting codes: Clearing these codes after you fix an issue keeps the diagnostic system focused only on what’s currently active.

This is crucial for verifying that repairs were successful and for maintaining accurate, up-to-date vehicle diagnostics.

Reset all aftertreatment

The reset of DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) soot levels is critical after replacing or cleaning the DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst) and DPF components. This action updates the stored values within the engine control module (ECM) and aftertreatment control module (ACM).

When to use:

  • After maintenance: Perform this reset after any replacement or cleaning of the DOC/DPF to ensure the modules accurately reflect the current status of the filter.

Benefits:

  • Ensures accurate monitoring: Resets the soot level data, which is essential for the correct operation of the DPF monitoring systems.
  • Prevents faulty readings: Helps avoid issues related to incorrect soot level data, such as unnecessary filter regenerations or ignored maintenance needs.

Resetting the soot levels after maintenance interventions is crucial for the accurate functioning of the DPF system and to ensure it continues to effectively reduce particulate emissions.

Forced DPF regen

The Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) captures soot during engine operation. To clear this soot, the DPF periodically undergoes active or passive regen, usually automatically, while the engine runs.

When to Use:

  • Fault codes: Some fault codes require you to run a forced DPF regen in order for certain fault codes to clear. This is because the emission system wants to run through all the system checks before the fault codes is cleared.
  • Driving conditions: If regular driving doesn't achieve the engine load and temperature necessary for active regen, then a forced DPF regen becomes essential. This is often required in situations involving excessive idling or operations under light loads.
  • High soot: If soot accumulation surpasses what normal regeneration can handle, a forced DPF regen is necessary to prevent blockages.

Benefits:

  • Ensures efficiency & reliability: It maintains the DPF’s effectiveness and extends its lifespan.

Forced SCR regen

Forced SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) regeneration is required when sulfur accumulation on the SCR catalyst exceeds the levels that can be handled by standard regeneration processes.

When to use:

  • Excessive sulfur build-up: Initiate this process when sulfur content on the SCR catalyst cannot be adequately reduced through normal DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) regeneration.

Benefits:

  • Restores catalyst efficiency: By removing excessive sulfur, the regeneration process helps maintain the catalyst's ability to reduce NOx emissions effectively.
  • Prevents catalyst degradation: Regular removal of sulfur deposits protects the catalyst from long-term damage, ensuring it performs optimally.

Forced SCR regeneration is essential for dealing with high sulfur levels that standard processes cannot remove, ensuring the SCR system continues to function effectively and comply with emission regulations.

DEF crystal sublimation

This procedure is necessary when DEF crystallization in the SCR catalyst exceeds normal cleaning capabilities during cold duty cycles.

Process overview:

  • When to use: If DEF crystals form because the SCR catalyst doesn't reach the necessary temperature for a chemical reaction.
  • How it works: The process heats the SCR unit to high temperatures to convert the solid crystals into a gas, clearing them from the system.

Benefits:

  • Ensures SCR efficiency: Keeps the catalyst functioning effectively for NOx reduction.
  • Protects catalyst: Prevents long-term damage from crystal buildup.

This targeted heating process is essential for removing excessive DEF crystals, ensuring optimal performance of the SCR system.
