Today, we’re thrilled to announce a major update to OTR Diagnostics: we now support Volvo P-Codes, giving you access to nearly the same diagnostic power as Volvo’s Premium Tech Tool (PTT)!
With the latest iOS and Android update, OTR Diagnostics now pulls P-Codes across multiple modules, offering dealer-level insights right at your fingertips.
What does this mean for you?
When you connect to your truck with OTR Diagnostics, the app walks through the connection process and lands you on the dashboard. From there, it automatically scans for both active and inactive fault codes.
By tapping the Fault Code tab at the bottom, you’ll see codes presented just like they would appear on a dealer’s tool. For example:

SA16 = Volvo ECM (Engine Control Module)

SA17 = Volvo ACM (Aftertreatment Control Module)

SA24 = Volvo I-Shift Transmission
The P-Code enhancement gives you unmatched clarity not just showing you a fault but helping you understand what it means and where to look.
Real-World Example
Let’s say your check engine light comes on. When you tap on an active code, OTR Diagnostics breaks it down for you.
One example we saw:
"Lost communication with the PM sensor."
The app tells you this sensor is located on the OneBox and gives you critical direction on where to start troubleshooting saving time and guesswork.
Another example:
SA24: U02A30
This tells you exactly which module (I-Shift) and the specific communication problem you're facing. No more vague error messages you get clear, actionable information.
